Description:
Two - if I'm not wrong - common blackbirds (Eurasian blackbird, turdus merula).
They observe what those weird humans do from a secured place...
I learned that it isn't easy to take shots of birds.
Especially free-handed and using great optical zoom which increases exposure time.
A section of the picture will travel more than the entire picture when shaking, plus a reduced shutter speed will catch more of these movements; so you get two penalties which reinforce each other, very unforgiving.
I conclude: Zoom = Difficulty²
During post-processing I decided to turn the picture darker and less saturated on purpose.
It gives a more immersive impression to me, also I didn't like that the bright road on the other side of the fence taking too much attention.
Some primary colours' saturation (yellow, green and red) have been increased a little while the master and other primary colours' saturation (magenta, cyan, blue) have been reduced; thus the plants, fungi and beaks are slightly highlighted; and the blackbirds are closer to true black.
Another reason I reduced saturation and lightness is that I decided to crop it to a 16:9 ratio, so it makes a perfect desktop background on 1920x1080 (1080p) screens, such as my laptop.
And if you know a little about user interfaces then you don't want a too distracting background.
The two worst things would be high contrast and too much distinct elements; as I can't eliminate the latter I worked on the former.
